I am taking an indefinite hiatus from drinking (alcohol that is).

I started a post about the reason why, but it's just too long and I don't want to finish it.

So here's the short version:

Tim meets boy.

Tim and boy seem to click.

Tim asks boy out to lunch, boy accepts and suggests we go the next day (per his suggestion).

Tim and boy go to lunch and have great conversation.

Tim and Boy agree they'll see each other at a birthday party that night.

Tim shows up at said party and Boy has a date with him.

Tim is bummed by this and decides that getting falling down drunk will be a great idea. (It is not.)

Tim does indeed get falling down (and crying and puking) drunk.

Tim spends the rest of the weekend hungover with a good dose of self loathing mixed in.

Monday, Tim gets a "poke" on Facebook from boy.

Throughly confused, Tim chats with boy online and boy seems flirty yet again.

The conversation ends with Tim and boy making tentative plans to go out again.

Tim is now, no longer drinking, and going to play it cool and wait to see what boy does.

Thus begins my adventures in gay dating.*

* Dating often has many definitions. In this case I mean the concept of being able to go out on dates with whoever (or however many guys) I want.
